This past weekend’s gloomy weather gave me the perfect excuse to dive into a tech upgrade I’d been meaning to tackle. The result? ADSelfService Plus is now fully integrated into my home network.
For those unfamiliar, this powerful tool allows users to reset forgotten passwords, unlock accounts, and update their Active Directory credentials—all without needing an admin’s help. Even better, it works via a web browser (click here) directly from the Windows login screen, and through a mobile app.

As a bonus, it provides a slick dashboard with server stats: number of enrolled users, accounts that are locked or nearing expiration, and a log of tasks performed using the tool (click to check it out). Handy and surprisingly satisfying to monitor.
Self-service just got a whole lot smarter.
